- The first is a surgical procedure consisting of filling in the hollow with lipofilling. The treatment is performed in an operating room, under local or general anaesthesia. A lipofilling of others areas of the face such as the cheekbones, chin, or temples can be performed at the same time.
- The second is a medical treatment with hyaluronic acid. This treatment can be performed in the office under local anesthesia.. Contrary to lipofilling, hyaluronic acid injections should be repeated at intervals of between 6 months to 2 years.
However, the follow-up is simpler and activities can be resumed after the injections.
